Imus

imus= Fired.
whether or not i agree with the courts decision, i think that everyone needs to realize that african americans have gone through enough, without selfish ignorant others to remind them of the terrible war they went through. Everyone needs respect and praise when something is done or achieved, not just the whites.who cares about skin color. you dont see imus contradicting the gator football players, so what makes the difference? i think that it was a teriibly insensitive remark on someone who knows the history they fought for. we all put or pants on the same way, and we should be seen that way.

wow i really enjoyed this movie. now i can enjoy the movies as much as others, and actually use what we have learned in class to analyze and interpret the underlying meanings..... i have to post again i have to go !

The Empire Strikes Back

Analysis of characters ( i dont know how to spell so laugh with me)

1. Hans- devoted to his friends, takes risks to save his friends even if he has a heavy death wish on his shoulders-true friend
2. Luke skywalker- very stubborn and impatient. doesnt really respect his peers ( yoda, Obie....)
3. Chewy- ahhh, the faithful sidekick who is always ready for action. reliable
4. C3Po- the annoying voice that is always in your head, but now hes a person. tends to point out the obvious and the odds which are always against him.-dependable
5. Leah- she has the girlfriend sterotype associated with her. Whenever hans went outside, she (even though was told to stay behind), immediately jumped up and out the door behind him.-impatient
6. Darth Vader -the only bad guy introduced --who, will stop at nothing until he gets waht he wants. he is painlessly obsessed with the capture of luke skywalker. determined- and persistant

Some other things that i picked up on pertaining to out school lessons:

Convention- bad guys in black

good v.s evil.

Macguffin- Millenium Falcon

First off, i think that faith is an imporatnt element in anything. Reading espically, because (even though it souns weird) you have to have faith in your book. you have to be able to imagine the chaos, and understand what the book is saying. faith helps you become engulfed inside the pages, and helps you understand the tru complexity of the science fiction realm.

So far the book hasn't given me diffuculty. I suprisingly enjoy the science fiction novels.
The Heart of gold, is a spaceship that is the most beautiful and revloutionary ship ever buit, but is about t00 be blown up in a matter of seconds if they cant find a way to overide the computer system, which is busy trying to figure out how to make tea, for Arthur. Earth as they knew it was about to be demolished in a matter of time as well..... Zaphod beeblebrox summons his great grand father from the dimensions of history, and he does help them out, by slowing time down and letting the computer finish its inital task of brewing tea.
